Senior Business Operations Specialist

Josh Kirkpatrick is a Canadian Olympian, performance leader, and experienced sport development professional with a proven track record in both elite athletics and education. He represented Canada in four-man bobsleigh at the 2018 Winter Olympics, competing on the world’s biggest stage and demonstrating excellence at the highest level of international sport.

Before his Olympic career, Josh was a standout varsity track & field athlete at Cornell University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics and Management with a specialization in Marketing - an Ivy League degree that equipped him with advanced skills in strategic thinking, business communication, and performance analysis. While at Cornell, Josh also excelled as a five-time Ivy League Heptagonal champion across multiple events, demonstrating discipline and competitive excellence both on and off the field.

Following his competitive success, Josh transitioned into leadership roles within sport and athlete development. He previously served as Senior Manager at the Academy for Student Athlete Development, where he helped design and oversee programs that supported student-athletes in balancing academic excellence with high-performance training.

Josh also brings valuable professional sports operations experience from his time as Assistant Manager of Operations with the Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corporation, where he contributed to large-scale event management, logistics, and organizational efficiency within a major professional sports environment.

By combining Olympic-level experience, advanced business education, academy leadership, and professional sports operations expertise, Josh offers a well-rounded and strategic approach to athlete development. He is passionate about building sustainable programs that empower young athletes to succeed in sport, school, and life beyond competition.
