Bobby Hunter

Assistant Coach, 18U AAA

Bobby brings a wealth of experience both on and off the ice to his role as Assistant Coach for EPIC’s 18U AAA team. A dedicated leader, Bobby retired after 32 years with the London Fire Department, concluding his career as Acting District Chief.

Bobby’s passion for hockey began as a player, competing at the junior level with the Strathroy Blades, intermediate with the Strathroy Jets, and senior hockey with the Aylmer Hornets, where he captured the 1989 Robertson Cup (Senior AAA). He has spent over 30 years coaching with programs including the West London Hawks, Lambeth Lancers, London Jr. Knights, and St. Thomas Stars (GOHL), in addition to more than a decade instructing hockey schools, sharing his knowledge and experience with players of all ages.

A strong believer in the character-building side of sport, Bobby’s coaching philosophy focuses on developing better people, not just better athletes. He emphasizes the value of time, mentorship, and personal growth, and takes pride in the lasting impact he has on the athletes he’s coached.
